The Morning Kiss with Ed & Charly

Mon – Fri | 6a-10a

About Ed:

Ed Kanoi is the new voice on 99.9 KISS-FM. The new show, called “The Morning Kiss”,   made it’s debut recently after the departure of Dan Rivers. Ed says joining Charly Espina   Takahama is actually a reunion for us. Ed and Charly shared a microphone many years   ago in Honolulu. I think it showed in this first month together, Kanoi says, “it was very   comfortable for us, so I think it’s going to be comfortable for our listeners.”

Before joining the Pacific Media Group here on Maui, Ed was the General Manager of a   group of radio stations on Kauai. He also a Country music morning show and an   afternoon Island music show.

KISS-FM marks a return for Ed to his favorite radio format, Adult contemporary radio.   Ed was one of the pioneers of blending contemporary island music with contemporary hit  radio.

Ed is a single dad and when not on the radio, he’s busy raising his two sons, Elijah (10)   and Ezekiel (8). “The boys have already made some great friends since moving to Maui   and attending Lihikai Elementary School”, according to Kanoi.

So whats is the new morning show going to be like with Ed Kanoi and Charly Espina   Takahama? Ed says first and foremost it’s going to be fun! I want to start the day with a   great cup of coffee, a nice morning stretch , a smile and then start a conversation with our   listeners! After that you’ll just have to listen to hear what happens!
